On May 27, 2026, Prestige took part in the initiative “Industry Generation: Open Companies, Connected Schools”, welcoming middle school students from IC Zanella in Sandrigo to its headquarters.
The initiative aims to strengthen the connection between education and industry by giving students the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of a local manufacturing company. Visiting a production facility helps them understand how the products we use every day are made, learn about the skills required in today’s workplace, and discover the opportunities offered by the local manufacturing sector.
For Prestige, it was a valuable opportunity to share its experience and showcase the work that every day brings contract and bespoke furniture to life through the combination of design, technology, and craftsmanship.
A journey through production.
Throughout the morning, students had the opportunity to explore the operations of a company specializing in furniture manufacturing and follow the entire process behind the creation of a bespoke piece of furniture, from the initial concept to the finished product.
The visit began with an overview of order management. Students discovered how each project is analyzed by the technical department through cost estimation, design, and the definition of technical and manufacturing solutions, all essential steps in transforming the client’s requirements into a finished product.
The tour then continued through the production departments, where students observed the different stages of wood processing. They learned about the importance of carefully selecting materials and saw how advanced machinery and artisanal expertise work together to create high-quality furniture.
From manufacturing to quality control.
One of the most significant stages was the pre-assembly phase, during which every component is assembled before finishing to verify that all parts fit together perfectly and fully comply with the project specifications.
The finishing department also attracted great interest, as students observed how surface treatment, the choice of finishes, and attention to detail enhance each piece of furniture, improving its appearance, protection, and long-term durability.
The tour continued with the quality control department, a fundamental stage where every product is carefully inspected to ensure it meets the company’s high standards and customers’ expectations. Afterwards, students visited the packaging and shipping department, discovering the work involved in protecting each piece and ensuring it reaches its destination in perfect condition.
The showroom and the story of Prestige.
The visit concluded in the company showroom, where students admired some of the finished products and recognized in each piece the tangible result of the production stages they had observed throughout the tour.
It was also an opportunity for discussion and exchange. The owner, Valle Carlo, shared the story behind Prestige’s foundation, explained the values that guide the company, and answered the students’ questions, satisfying their curiosity and exploring the topics that had emerged during the visit.

The experience allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of the complexity behind the creation of bespoke furniture. Every project involves design, material selection, manufacturing, pre-assembly, finishing, quality control, and logistics: a process in which collaboration, precision, and passion come together every day to create customized, high-quality products.

The 2026 edition of “Open Companies” is particularly significant as it forms part of the “Industry Generation” project, promoted by Confimi Industria within the National Made in Italy Day 2026 initiatives and supported by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
For Prestige, it was a genuine pleasure to welcome the students and share its manufacturing experience with them, helping to highlight the value of Italian manufacturing and the professionals who make it possible every day.
